I am 21 years of age.
And while I have absorbed books into every part of my soul, I have yet to display them on my flesh.
It might sound morbid, but I assure you it is not!
I could immortalise my favourite word formations from my favourite books… forever!! ON!! MY!!! SKIN!!!!
Except the only pain I am “dive-in-head-first-without-thinking” ready for, is the pain we suffer at the hands of books… otherwise I’m a little bit of a scaredy cat.
I love the idea of a tattoo. I don’t love the idea of all those needles…
BUT IF I WASN’T AFRAID, and maybe one day I will be brave enough, I’D GET SO MANY BOOKISH TATTOOS!
SO MANY PRETTY BOOKISH TATTOOS!
PRETTY BOOKISH TATTOOS THAT ARE QUOTES!!
I’D BE A WALKING – TALKING MOTIVATION BOARD!

The dream…

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl, in which readers and bloggers come together to squeal, cry and ooo ‘n’ aaa at books.
Today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is “Books I Want to Read Again!”
But instead of doing that, I decided I’d drag up this idea I had for the “Favourite Quotes” prompt a while back.
And there are a few directions I could have taken… like “Book Quotes I Think Of More Often Than I Should!”, “Book Quotes I Recite Aloud To Myself Like Some Old Timey Well Read Professor!”, “Book Quotes That I Haven’t Stopped Crying About Yet!”
But these days I’ve been thinking about tattoos. Which, honestly, might take me another 10 years to decide on because I am an indecisive creature, and having to choose something that would be permanent and mostly unchangeable = ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* S T R E S S! *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
SO HERE’S A POST ABOUT 10 QUOTES I LIKE ENOUGH THAT I’M CONSIDERING MAKING THEM A PERMANANT PART OF MY PHYSICAL FORM!!! (BECAUSE THE UNIVERSE KNOWS THEY ARE ALREADY SEARED INTO MY SOUL)!!!

Note: All book covers will be linked back to their respective Goodreads pages so you can check them out! Any sequels will be linked up to the first book to avoid spoilers!

The Hobbit, There and Back Again by J. R. R. Tolkien

I honestly couldn’t only choose one quote from A Court of Mist and Fury… It was hard keeping it to 2… I’d probably just get the whole book tattooed on me! Can you imagine if Chapter 55 was on my face?!!?!!??!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I’d never make eye contact with another person ever again…
I also might have cheated a little… I haven’t read The Fellowship of the Ring or The Hobbit YET!
I’ve only obssessively watched all the movies…
But I couldn’t not have them on this list! I love the all the quotes I’ve seen floating around and I would definitely have them tattooed. Because they are profound and heart warming and so hopeful and I’d like to be able to look at my tattoo whenever I’m in a situation that is uncomfortable and be like “What would Gandalf say right about now?? *reads* Oh Yeah! Thanks Gandalf!”

Do you have any bookish tattoos?? What book inspired them?? Would you get more?? If you don’t have any, would you like too? Would you get an awesome bookish quote?

I won’t get another tattoo in my life (already have one and that was painful enough), but if I did it would be a book quote. I have several I love. These are all good ones, too!

I love this idea! Like you, I’m afraid of needles, so I would probably never get one but if I did it would likely be a book quote or song lyric.

I’m not into tattoos (or unnecessary pain), BUT if I was to hypothetically get one, I would definitely want it to be SHORT. LOL.
Happy TTT!
