Today is a very special day in the world of book blogging! It’s the 10th birthday of Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday has been a source of joy to many book lovers and book bloggers over the past 10 years, and has brought so many of us together, letting our bookish screams be heard across the void, and has introduced us all to new books that we’d never heard so much as a whisper of before – but they’re now our favourite, most coveted books.
Top Ten Tuesday moved from its founding home at The Broke and The Bookish into the loving hands of Jana on her beautiful blog That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.
Naturally today’s prompt is a special one, “Option 1: pick a past TTT topic you’ve done and re-do/update it. Option 2: pick a past TTT topic you wish you’d done, but didn’t get a chance to do (the list of topics can be found here).”
Instead of redoing one topic, I decided to just do ten. Since it’s Top TEN Tuesday, and it’s the TENTH birthday. It… had to be ten today.
And so, here’s a list of 10 previous Top Ten Tuesday prompts and my answers to fit them!
Clicking on the book covers will take you to their Goodreads pages! Any sequels will be linked to the first book to avoid spoilers!
The Last Book That Made Me Cry
A Book I Just Had To Buy, But… Still Haven’t Read Yet
A Book By A Favourite Author
A Book With A Painful Cliffhanger
My Favourite Book To Movie Adaptation
A Favourite Book Blog
Sammie over at The Bookwyrm’s Den is a top tier book blogger. If ever there was one to be worshipped, like the Empress of Dragons (and soon THE WORLD!!) that she is, it’s Sammie. Reading Sammie’s posts always put me in a good mood, and always reminds me that no matter how strong my TBR looks with all its eerie glowing, I am a fearsome Bookwyrm, and she has bestowed upon me great tips on hiding the over flow of my TBR into unfindable void pockets in the corners of cupboards and closets, so it can’t stab me. 😌
No one will ever know the true extend of my TBRs power. No one.
A Book Character That Inspires Me
A Book With One Of My Favourite Tropes
A Favourite Book Cover
A Favourite Debut Book

What are you posting about for Top Ten Tuesday’s 10th birthday?? Do you agree with some of my picks? Which ones?? Is anyone else still crying at the ending of The Wicked King even though you’ve read The Queen of Nothing?? No?? Just me??

Tell me which books you’d pick for each prompt!
Link up your TTT post in the comments so I can visit you!
Best twist of the day! You’re a genius. ❤

Redoing 10 different past TTT topics? So smart!
oooh, Sorcery of Thorns! Still haven’t read that yet, but hopefully soon!
And The Bookwyrm’s Den! Yessss, Sammie’s book blog is also one of my favs! Her narration always makes me laugh
And totally with ya on adoring the enemy-to-lovers trope! All the great tension it provides—I firmly believe the trope will never get old and that we can always have more of it 😀
Here’s my TTT on Fantasy Standalones if ya wanna check it out:

I, thank you very much!! ❤
I LOVED Sorcery of Thorns so much!! I hope you love it when you read it!!
YEEEEEEEEEEES! Reading Sammie's posts always throw me into a good mood! If anyone deserved to be the supreme leader of all things (and would undoubtedly be amazing at it) , it would be Sammie. ❤
Sometimes when I'm reading an enemies to lovers I start thinking "JUST LOVE EACH OTHER! YOU ARE PERFECT TOGETHER IT IS CLEAR TO SEEEEEEEEEEEE!" but then I shut that down. Let the tension rise. Let them confess their feelings during an argument. Let their tense interactions lead me to my ultimate demise!! 😂 120% agree with you and believe there will never be a point in time where there are too many enemies to lovers books/stories in the world!

I actually just finished Sorcery of Thorns the other day! It was so fun and omg that worldbuilding–I’m in love 😍
And baha, so true!
Oooh, I so relate to that conflicted mindset! I love slowburn romance and tension and despise insta-love but at the same time when I start a book I’m always like “Why am I not later in the book when they start to realize their feelings?? WAAAAAHHHH”

Haha, I love that your topic is . . . all the topics. You reminded me that I need to read Strange The Dreamer. I need to know what the hype is about.

Thank you!!! I kind of wish I did do all of the topics but that would be a very long post! XD
Strange the Dreamer was such a magical book! Personally, I think it was worth the hype! I still need to read the sequel though! 😂 I hope you enjoy it!! ❤

OH MY GOSH, I LOVE THIS IDEA. And now I’m low-key jealous that I didn’t do it this week, because pffft, you’re right, the 10’s are so perfect. How did I not see it?
I may or may not be in the same place with City of Brass (okay, yes, I totally am). I haven’t read Beyond a Darkened Shore, but yup, that found its way to my TBR just now. I am forever and always up for some good enemies-to-lovers.
And OMG, thank you for choosing me as your favorite blogger. T_T I’m having so many ugly emotions. What have you done to me?! I’m leaking. D:That’s it. It’s official. When I take over the world, I’m giving you your own country or continent or something.

The Tens are everywhere Sammie… there’s no escaping them! But in all seriousness, I think this is what it feels like when the planets align?? Unless it’s the result of witchcraft?? Probably witchcraft.
City of Brass definitely has a “buy all the books as they come out but never even think about looking at them until you have all the books” vibe about it! Just the thought of binge reading it… *explodes from excitement*
Definitely wasn’t my plan to make you add it to your TBR. Nope. Not even a little… *evilly cackles and rubs hands together as the grand plan all falls into place*
Beyond a Darkened Shore was great! I hope you like it! I’m planning on getting to the companion novel to BaDS soon!!👀👀 I’m hoping it’ll be just as good as BaDS!!
YOU ARE MY FAVOURITE BLOGGER!!!!!!! OF ALL TIME!!! In fact I will unconditionally love anything you write. You could rewrite the dictionary and I just know for a fact that it would be witty and hilarious! OOOOOOOOO! I volunteer to be your sidekick when you take over! I don’t have any super powers per say, but I can squeal really loud about my favourite books!! That’s sure to disarm any enemies! If not I will use threats. Like “You read a whole book everyday, but the pile of unread books never shrinks…” That’ll make them cry… it might make me cry tbh
Can my Country/Continent be next door to yours so we can have tea parties where we just scream about books?? ❤

Definitely witchcraft.
My poor TBR. Look at it, suffering under its burden. And you don’t even feel bad to have added to its ailing. You monster, you!
Thank youuu. Stahp, you’re gonna make me cry, and that’s never a pretty sight.
YOU ARE OFFICIALLY MY TAKING-OVER-THE-WORLD SIDEKICK. And obviously we need neighboring countries. Duh. It’s hard to shriek about books over middle countries. That’s just rude. Besides, too far to travel otherwise.

I highly recommend both her books!! I loved both An Enchantment of Ravens and Sorcery of Thorns! (though if I’m honest I loved Sorcery of Thorns just that little bit more because there was a big focus on libraries and books!)
I hope you love Sorcery of Thorns if you decide to pick it up!! ❤

I know exactly how you feel! Sometimes I look at my shelves and I’m like, “Who bought all these new books and expected me to have read them all by now????” 😭 BuT iT WaS mEEEEEEEE! I was the culprit all along!!!!😭 There are so many books that people love and rave about, and I’d buy them and now they just… sit there.
Real talk though… is there a way TO read all of them? Or are we just suppose to be buried by all these unread books? 😭

I was going to do a similar list but then I decided on something else.
Aurora Rising is a great cover but sadly I don’t want to read that series. I’m slightly interested in Wicked Fox because it reminds me of a Korean drama but I don’t think I’lll read it though.
Have a lovely day.

There were so many options for this Top Ten Tuesday it was hard to pick just one! XD
Wicked Fox definitely gave me a K-Drama vibe!!! But with a fantasy twist! I personally loved the Korean Mythology in modern day Seoul setting!
Hope you have a wonderful day!! ❤

The Wicked King had one of the best cliffhangers ever! Though I can say that now that I’ve read The Queen of Nothing of course, before that it was one of the most painful cliffhangers ever 🙂
Also, I love Sorcery of Thorns, Aurora Rising and Wicked Fox. And I definitely need to read Beyond a Darkened Shore now that I know it features an enemies-to-lovers trope!

I am so with you there! It was an excellent cliffhanger! The pain that The Wicked King caused still lingers to this day. Will we ever heal from it?? No. Probably not. 😭
I really enjoyed Beyond a Darkened Shore! I’m planning to read the companion novel to it soon! I hope you enjoy it!! ❤

I love this idea! It’s great to see all your answers for these. I keep seeing people talking about Katherine Arden’s books and since one of them made you cry I know I definitely need to pick them up now (I love a good book induced cry!)

Oh my gosh YES!!!!! READ THEM! If you don't shed a few tears during the first 2 books of the Winternight trilogy, then the start of book three will definitely get you. My gosh. I haven't sobbed like that since I was a baby. I swear. That book isn't a cry inducing book, it's a SMASH OUR HEARTS INTO TEENY TINY PIECES AND LAUGH AT US book. Very evil. Much cry. Highly recommend!
